The scheme is operated by Lancashire County Council Trading Standards Service and helps with your search to find local, fair & honest traders.

The scheme covers all aspects of home improvement and repair work, and also assists elderly and vulnerable people maintain their independence such as:

• Cleaners

• Mobility aid suppliers

• Gardeners

Checks are carried out on the business prior to inclusion on the scheme –

• We visit their business premises

• Ensure traders have necessary insurance policies

• Traders comply with relevant legislation

• Check regulatory bodies that traders are legally required to be registered with

• Businesses are required to agree to abide by the Code of Practice of the scheme
